Xvisio Technology Ready for Industry-Leading High-Speed VSLAM
Comprehensive solutions for AR/VR/MR and robotics.
Plug and Play
The eXLAM is a standalone, edge-based computing system that tracks its own six degrees of freedom (X, Y, Z, yaw, pitch, and roll) position and outputs this data directly to host applications. Once powered on, the device is ready for operation using a simple device driver. This significantly reduces the computational demands placed on the host processor, shortening product development cycles and minimizing R&D effort.
Faster, smaller, simpler
This flexible and scalable camera module provides 6DoF information at up to 100Hz to meet the low-latency requirements of AR/VR HMDs and controllers. Spatial tracking accuracy and stability are precise to the millimeter. The eXLAM-45 offers a variety of interface connections for easy integration into any host platform. The device utilizes a world-class vision processor unit and a high-speed CMOS image sensor from a leading supplier. Total power consumption is less than 3 watts.
“Xvisio Technology has spent the past few years developing its proprietary ultra-fast VSLAM algorithms with embedded implementations. We have been working closely with two of the most influential semiconductor companies to deliver industry-leading solutions for both consumer and industrial applications.”
John Lin, CEO of Xvisio Technology
Availability
The product was first introduced in January 2018 during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Since then, significant progress has been made in stability, performance, and market validation. Production is scheduled for early Q3 2018.
