This is another round of financing following the investment from China Science and Technology Star, Junsheng Investment, and Shenzhen Capital Group. This round of financing will be used to continue to build core XR technologies and accelerate their deployment in multiple sectors such as healthcare, industry, education, and entertainment.

Xvisio Technology, a high-tech startup specializing in XR spatial sensing and interaction (VSLAM) core technology and XR (XR is a general term for VR, AR, and MR) product solutions, recently announced that it had completed a multi-million yuan Series A1 funding round before the Spring Festival, led by Sinopharm CICC's Xiyas Fund, with participation from Tianjin Hetai, Ziming Xintou, Tongrun Science and Technology Investment, Ruihe Capital, and China Unicom Xinwo. This is the latest round of financing following investments from Zhongke Chuangxing, Junsheng Investment, and Shenzhen Capital Group. This round of financing will be used to continue developing core XR technologies and accelerate their deployment in multiple sectors, including healthcare, industry, education, and entertainment.

Focus on building core technology IP and building a path to the metaverse

As the metaverse concept gains momentum, virtual-reality integration, free creation, social collaboration, and decentralized transactions are considered four major areas of focus. Perception and interaction are fundamental to achieving this integration. Since its founding, Xvisio Technology has focused on developing core technologies for perception and interaction, as well as product solutions for XR industry applications, striving to build a bridge between the virtual and real worlds. Xvisio SlimEdge XR is Xvisio Technology's proprietary, standalone chip-based XR perception and interaction co-processing unit. It incorporates a SLAM engine, a depth engine, an AI inference engine, an audio and video processing engine, and an eye-controlled gesture engine. These engines form the perception layer for perception and interaction, the foundation for understanding the world. The company's product architecture aligns with the dual-chip architecture of Microsoft Hololens and is compatible with the OpenXR standard, significantly reducing system-on-chip platform requirements. It has already been adapted for multiple AP chips, including Qualcomm and Rockchip series. The company is currently rolling out algorithm deployment and complete solutions based on the RK3588, achieving full domestic production and a high degree of independent control.

Over the past year, Xvisio Technology has launched a number of terminal solutions and comprehensive interactive functions based on the SlimEdge XR architecture, including the lightweight 6DoF AR glasses SeerLens series, VR four-camera head-hand 6DOF tracking solutions, independent 6DOF controllers, high-speed 21DoF depth gesture recognition and other basic functions. It has completed underlying technologies including high-precision spatial anchoring, rapid 3D reconstruction, map sharing, multi-person collaboration, high-precision virtual-reality fusion, end-cloud integration, and immersive volumetric video content generation. It has also won the "AI Digital Future Award" at the 2021 World Artificial Intelligence Competition, was selected as one of the "2021 China Startup New Seedling List - New Enterprise of the Year", and was awarded the "ARinChina China AR Industry Annual Outstanding AR Software Algorithm" award. In the past three years, Xvisio Technology has won more than 20 national and domestic awards.

The next decade marks the era of the Metaverse. Seizing this opportunity, Xvisio Technology will continue to develop core XR perception and interaction technologies, as well as comprehensive solutions for industry applications, to empower digital transformation and the implementation of the Metaverse. "We will pursue ecosystem partnerships in a more open and flexible manner, actively engage with industry capital, and rapidly advance the industry implementation of core technologies and product solutions," said Lin Qiong, founder and CEO of Xvisio Technology. "This is a once-in-a-decade market opportunity. We must cultivate our internal strengths, refine our products, and grow alongside the industry. We thank our investors for their trust and participation."

Deploy vertical track

The introduction of new technologies typically progresses through three phases: to consumer (B2B), to enterprise (B2B), and finally to consumer (C2C). XR technology is no exception. Currently in its early stages of development, industry applications are the primary focus, including industrial remote collaboration, education and training, healthcare, and entertainment. In the industrial sector, remote collaboration and remote operation and maintenance can reduce communication costs and enable the sharing of expert resources. Xvisio Technology is currently collaborating with organizations such as Alibaba and Baidu in this area. In education, remote training can help trainees quickly master their skills, thereby improving training quality and efficiency. In the medical industry, the demands for spatial positioning, digital twins, and the integration of virtual and real life are precisely where Xvisio Technology's core capabilities are being applied. Xvisio Technology is currently collaborating with top domestic medical institutions to explore the application of AR glasses in various medical scenarios, including ophthalmology, dentistry, and orthopedics.

Li Ke, General Manager of Sinopharm CICC, the lead investor, said, "We are very optimistic about Xvisio's core technology capabilities in positioning itself in the Metaverse era and its deployment in numerous fields. We firmly believe that driven by informatization, digitization, and networking, AR technology, as the gateway to the Metaverse, will bring about a disruptive revolution in numerous industries."
