This wave of AI enthusiasm has continued to heat up since its inception. During this period, industries such as healthcare, finance, industry, entertainment, transportation, and home furnishings have been successively impacted by new technologies. Various AI companies have sprung up like mushrooms after rain, and the trend of industry-university-research integration has become increasingly obvious.

Artificial intelligence is a race of the times, with companies large and small striving to forge ahead. So, in this fiercely competitive technological revolution, which companies will emerge as leaders in the era of practical AI? Will they bring new insights to the AI industry and illuminate the path forward?

To identify these companies and projects, the World Artificial Intelligence Innovation Competition (AIWIN) officially launched in April of this year. The competition featured five tracks: healthcare, finance, transportation, industry, and robotics, with a total of 514 valid projects participating. Furthermore, nearly 50 expert judges from five disciplines—industry, engineering, academia, investment, and platforms—undertook a comprehensive review and analysis of the projects, conducted background research, and conducted discussions and three rounds of voting.

Ultimately, the competition selected the top three projects in each direction, making up a total of 15 AIWIN annual award-winning projects. Based on comprehensive considerations of various directions, an additional 20 projects were selected as shortlisted projects for the annual list.

3D XR Vision - A VSLAM Solution for AR Glasses and Mobile Robots

Xvisio Technology 3D XR Vision has developed a series of plug-and-play ultra-high-speed, high-precision 6DOF (6 degrees of freedom) tracking VSLAM sensors for the AR/VR/MR and intelligent mobile robotics fields. It is an integrated hardware and software project based on artificial intelligence technology.

The project provides a tailored VSLAM vision unit system to AR/VR/MR and mobile robotics companies, many of which lack independent VSLAM R&D capabilities. This system meets the needs of end-devices for interaction with their environments, including positioning, tracking, navigation, obstacle avoidance, and object recognition. Furthermore, its multiple breakthrough technical indicators and customizable VSLAM visual edge computing platform address the common technical pain points of dizziness, floating, jitter, hesitancy, and cumbersome operation in AR/VR devices, addressing the current fragmented AR platform market and the diverse product requirements.

Finally, Xvisio Technology won the 2019 World Artificial Intelligence Innovation Competition Industrial Direction Top 3 with this solution.
