Invited to participate in the China Virtual Reality Industry-University-Research Conference

The 10th China Virtual Reality Industry-University-Research Conference, hosted by the China Virtual Reality Technology and Industry Innovation Platform, was successfully held in Beijing on November 2-3, 2024. The conference focused on the theme of "Integration of Virtual Reality Technology and Industrial Innovation." Xvisio Technology, a leading innovator in the virtual reality industry, invited CEO Lin Qiong to attend the event and deliver a keynote speech.

Lin Qiong started with the topic of "Innovative Applications and Prospects of MR (Mixed Reality) Technology in Medical Refinement" and, combined with the latest MR terminal implementation cases in the medical field, described how spatial computing technology can explore and innovate new scenarios in traditional medical scenarios such as medical surgical navigation and strabismus and amblyopia diagnosis and treatment, thereby promoting the emergence of new digital medical formats in the current booming virtual reality industry.

Lin Qiong mentioned two main application scenarios for the Xvisio Technology series of MR glasses in the medical field. High-precision positioning surgical navigation and multi-screen fusion near-eye display are the primary applications of Xvisio MR glasses in the medical field. Preoperatively, a high-resolution CT scan of the patient generates a 3D model of the lesion. Virtual navigation within the 3D model allows for the most precise surgical route to be planned in advance. During surgery, the surgeon, wearing a pair of MR glasses connected to the medical imaging system, clearly visualizes the 3D model of the patient's lesion. Using gestures to interactively control the 3D image of the "organ" in the air, the surgeon accurately locates the lesion according to guidance, allowing for rapid treatment and improving surgical accuracy and efficiency.

At the same time, doctors need to view multiple image display terminals simultaneously before and during surgery, which is inefficient. Doctors can now wear MR glasses to stream MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound images to a near-eye display. They can use gestures and voice commands to drag and drop, anchoring relevant image content anywhere in space. This allows for real-time presentation, 3D annotation, and record-keeping.

How video streaming works

In terms of visual function training, Xvisio Technology's MR glasses equipped with immersive interactive technology make visual function examination training more intelligent, more interesting, and more focused on the user's spatial perception and interactive experience. Therefore, it can comprehensively and multi-dimensionally solve or improve problems such as amblyopia treatment, visual function defects induced by strabismus and myopia, and reading difficulties caused by abnormal eye movement control, such as stereoscopic vision defects, perceptual eye position shift, inhibition and other visual function problems, as well as functional vision problems such as abnormal posture control.

Lin Qiong believes that MR (mixed reality) technology has broad prospects in the application of refined medical care, and will help every doctor have a 3D smart assistant. The industry application trend is rapidly developing towards precision, intelligence, diversified applications and user experience optimization.

XR+AI will be an important platform for three-dimensional human-computer interaction

In his speech, Lin Qiong mentioned that the boundaries of human-computer interaction are constantly being expanded, and a new intelligent era is striding towards us. He also profoundly pointed out the trend of future technological integration, believing that XR + AI will become the core platform that propels 3D human-computer interaction to new heights.

Xvisio Technology, as a pioneer in the integration of XR and AI technologies, has always been at the forefront of technological innovation, committed to integrating spatial computing technology into the wave of digital transformation in traditional industries, and providing professional XR solutions for spatial computing and human-computer interaction.

In terms of technology research and development, Xvisio Technology focuses on full-stack spatial computing and perceptual interaction technologies, continuously deepening its research and development efforts to address key challenges. Currently, Xvisio Technology has developed core spatial computing technologies, including high-precision VST virtual-reality fusion, high-precision OST spatial virtual-reality integration, and high-precision spatial anchoring. With these core capabilities, Xvisio Technology has developed two product lines: the SeerLens® MR terminal and the SeerSense® ️ spatial computing module, focusing on addressing specific scenarios.

Among them, in the SeerLens®️ MR terminal series, Xvisio Technology's latest released SeerLens®️ II B50R Pro is a domestically produced high-performance MR glasses benchmarked against Hololens 2. This product uses a self-developed high-speed and high-precision 4-eye SLAM algorithm in the underlying algorithm, supports multi-modal interaction methods such as voice, gestures, and 6DOF handles, and has the currently advanced domestic spatial computing and perception interaction capabilities. It performs well in many aspects such as positioning accuracy, intelligent recognition, and multi-modal interaction, providing enterprises with high-precision and highly interactive MR products and services.

In less than six months since its launch, this device has gained widespread industry recognition, with hundreds of units delivered. It has also won numerous honors, including the People's Product Ingenuity Award and the Golden Gyro Award for Best Industry AR Glasses.

In the SeerSense®️ spatial computing module series, the DS80 is the industry's leading integrated binocular depth engine, time-of-flight (TOF) engine, visually sparsely mapped (VSLAM) engine, an AI engine, and a video encoding engine. Its design leverages the strengths of passive binocular vision and time-of-flight (TOF) depth sensing, achieving complementary capabilities. The SeerSense®️ DS80 integrates three core spatial sensing capabilities: VSLAM, depth sensing, and AI reasoning. This enables device-level local deployment, significantly lowering the barrier to entry for user development and use.

Currently, SeerSense ® ️ DS80 can be widely used in a wide range of fields such as virtual production, industry, security, medical care, logistics, retail, etc. It is the basic perception unit for spatial computing and AIOT applications.

Seersense® ️ DS80 Application Scenarios

Technological innovation is driving rapid development in the digital age, with cutting-edge technologies like spatial computing and human-computer interaction leading industry advancements. Xvisio Technology will continue to uphold its innovation-driven development philosophy, continuously launching more innovative technologies and products to inject new impetus into the high-quality development of numerous industries.

Continuously deepen development for segmented scenarios

At the same time, Xvisio Technology's products, technologies, and solutions have also been applied in many industries such as industry, education and training, digital medicine, virtual photography, etc., winning the recognition and favor of leading companies in many sub-sectors, and providing many typical application scenarios for the development of digital economy and new quality productivity.

For example, the digital protection and repair system for ancient buildings created by Fuzhou Architectural Big Data Technology Co., Ltd. based on Xvisio's new generation of domestic high-performance MR terminal - SeerLens ® ️ II B50R Pro is used in scenarios such as intelligent inspection and monitoring, predictive maintenance, and educational activities and exhibitions.

As the industry's first all-in-one spatial computing module, the SeerSense® DS80, with its powerful spatial positioning and environmental perception capabilities, has become the preferred positioning tracker for XR virtual production. Since the 2021 joint launch of this cost-effective virtual production system in overseas markets with UK-based Rassi Engineering, it has successfully deployed with numerous leading clients both domestically and internationally, including UK-based Mo-sys, a leading virtual production company.
